Home to Heaven

Bill went home to Heaven in the early hours of Thursday, May 10th.
He was surrounded Wednesday evening with family & friends singing Praise Songs & Prayer. In his final moments, Sadie said, "I love you, Bill"...he gave his very last effort to reply, "I love you", and with that, breathed his last, here on earth...

Bill's body will be laid to rest on Tuesday morning, with honors as an Army Veteran.
...but his Spirit is already at home, in Heaven. He is made whole & in the presence of Jesus!

The following was Bill's reason for LIFE, hope in death, and prayer for you:
"Heavenly Father, your Word says I must be without sin to have a right relationship with You now, and for all Eternity.  Since there is no way for me to work and repay any of these offenses, I REPENT, now, of my sins and RECEIVE Your gift of Forgiveness through Jesus' death and Resurrection on my behalf.  I RENOUNCE my former, selfish ways and ask for Your Holy Spirit to come into my heart and RECLAIM my whole life!   In Jesus' Powerful and Precious Name I RECOMMIT my life to you."  Amen.

The Triple Crown

On this, the "First Saturday in May", I was able to watch the Kentucky Derby with my dad~he woke up just in time to see I'll Have Another cross the finish line, before fading away, back to into sleep.  We have always connected on Derby day, predicting which horse would win and hoping that we would witness the next Triple Crown Winner.  Sitting beside his bed, God's Spirit encouraged me with thoughts of the CROWNS we receive as His Children.  His Word promises crowns that we will receive when Christ appears...which will never fade away. ♕

"Praise the Lordmy soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lordmy soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
who forgives all your sins
    and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with Love & Compassion
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s."

Psalm 103:1-5

"A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown"
Proverbs 12:4

"Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children."
Proverbs 17:6

"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of Beauty    instead of ashes
the oil of joy
    instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
    a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor."

Isaiah 61:1-3

"Now there is in store for me the crown of Righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."
2Timothy 4:8

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of Life that the Lord has promised to those who love him."
James 1:12

"And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of Glory that will never fade away."
1Peter 5:4

Singing Pretty Woman

Bill has always been known for his beautiful singing voice, and growing up, everyone who knew him would think, "Billy!" whenever they heard this song, "Pretty Woman", as he sang it all the time!....for Sadie?....

Finding Rest

"The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.  Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death."  Isaiah 57:1-2

Praising God that in these past 3 years of living with cancer, Bill has been spared from the suffering of pain!

Father's Day 2011

We are so very thankful to be all together one more time!
Doctors can only say it is a miracle that my dad is still with us.
Their conclusion is that my mom is taking "too good of care" of him!
A very Happy Father's Day!!
